Preparation

You will need: 6 ounces of Lager Style Beer (Carbonated beverage or Hard Cider may be used in place of beer). Note: Only 3/4 cup (6 ounces) of beverage needed per box of pretzel mix.

Baking Directions:

  1. Heat oven to 425°. Spray baking sheet with cooking spray
  2. Warm 3/4 cup beverage in microwave until warm to the touch. Combine baking mix packet & warm beverage. Stir unul soft dough forms. Tum dough out onto floured surface. Knead (squish & have fun with the kiddos) until smooth & stretchy.
  3. Divide dough into 12 pieces. Roll into ropes and twist into a pretzel shape or pretzel rod Place pretzels on greased baking sheet & spray pretzels with cooking spray. Cover with towel & let pretzels sit in a warm place for 30 minutes
  4. Sprinkle Pretzel Salt (included in package) over pretzels as desired. Bake on center rack of oven for about 8 – 10 minutes or until light brown. (Now you can use the remaining beer to make another batch to share. Mimi will be so proud)

 

High Altitude (over 3500 ft): Add 2 Tbsp. Water in addition to beverage
